About This Faculty
The Faculty of Social Sciences at The Unity University trains students to understand how societies, governments, and communities work together. It brings together programmes in political science, public administration, international relations, social work, media, and project management, so students can look at real social and political problems from many angles rather than just one.
Teaching in this faculty mixes theory with real examples from Somaliland, the wider Horn of Africa, and international case studies, so students learn to connect classroom ideas to everyday governance and development work. Students take part in group projects, case studies, and research assignments that build their confidence to write reports, analyse policy, and speak in front of an audience.
